R&D
A 79-engineer technical team, university research partnerships and in-house CAE analysis across all four product series.
The technical team comprises 79 engineers, a 6-person expert team and 5 staff with senior professional titles. 85% hold undergraduate degrees, 28% graduated from 985/211 universities and 15% hold postgraduate degrees.
R&D is organised across the company research institute, the product development department, the project management department, the Laoshan R&D centre, the Shenzhen R&D centre and the testing centre. Internal platforms include the Shandong Technology Center, the Qingdao Rearview Mirror Expert Workstation and the Qingdao Intelligent Rearview Mirror Innovation Center.

External research partnerships run with Professor Song Jian's team and Dr Li Xingkun's team at Tsinghua University, the School of Vehicle and Mobility at Tsinghua University, the College of Automotive Engineering at Jilin University and the School of Automotive Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology.
Core technology is protected by 34 invention patents, 135 utility model patents and 28 software copyrights under a managed IP programme.
More than a thousand product developments have built a comprehensive design library managed on shared platforms, keeping performance high while controlling cost. Development follows a three-generation principle — produce one generation, reserve one, develop one — to sustain continuous innovation.
In-house CAE covers field-of-view analysis, electro-thermal analysis, modal analysis and light-distribution analysis, plus mold-flow and strength analysis for mirrors and steering columns. Radiator and intercooler performance is modelled with one-dimensional CFD simulation, from base data import through product data setup, calculation and result output.
